A SASG link only works if people can find it. The good news: every major social app has a way to post a tappable link, and most people get their first songs within minutes of posting. Here's how to do it on each platform, and what tends to get the most responses.
Before you post: copy your link
Open your inbox and tap Copy link at the top. If you'd rather post an image, tap Share to story — SASG makes a ready-to-post 9:16 card with your name, photo and prompt. Save it to your camera roll; you'll add the link on top of it in the steps below.
Instagram Stories (the classic)
- Open Instagram and start a new story. Choose the SASG card from your camera roll, or any photo you like.
- Tap the sticker icon at the top and choose Link.
- Paste your SASG link. Tap Customize sticker text and write something short like “send me a song”.
- Drag the link sticker somewhere obvious — the middle of the screen works better than a corner — and post.
Stories disappear after 24 hours. Repost when you share a reply or a featured song — each repost reminds people the link exists.
Instagram bio
Go to your profile, tap Edit profile, then Links → Add external link, and paste your SASG URL. A bio link keeps working after your story expires, so people who find you later can still send something.
TikTok
If your account shows a Website field in Edit profile, paste your link there. If it doesn't, put your SASG username in your bio text (“send me a song → link in bio”) and pin a video explaining it. Videos showing you reacting to songs you received tend to bring in a new wave of dedications.
Snapchat
Take or choose a snap, tap the paperclip icon on the right, paste your link and send it to your story. Snapchat shows the page preview, including your name and prompt.
Messenger, WhatsApp, Discord and X
Paste the link directly. SASG links unfurl with a preview card showing your name and prompt, so they look intentional rather than like spam. On X, a short post with your prompt as the text gets more taps than the bare link.
What gets more songs
- A specific prompt. “Send me a song” is fine. “Send me the song you'd play on a road trip with me” gets answered.
- Post in the evening. People browse stories and have time to search for a song later in the day.
- Show results. Sharing a song you received (as a story card or by featuring it on your page) shows friends that people actually use it.
- Customize your page. A photo, a favorite song and a few words in your bio make the page feel like you, and people spend longer choosing.
- Reply to a few. Senders who get a reply often come back with another song.
A note on privacy
Your SASG page is public to anyone with the link. Don't put your phone number, school schedule, home address or anything else you wouldn't post publicly into your bio or link buttons.
